Meet Your Home Inspectors
Collins Home Inspection is owned and operated by Craig Collins. Craig earned his degree in Civil Engineering from The Citadel and has worked for the United States Geological Survey. In addition, he was also a team member on a FEMA-funded research grant inspecting the structural stability of more than 300 emergency response-related buildings and shelters.
Qualifications include:
- Full member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and follows their strict Code of Ethics.
- ICC Code-Certified in Building, Plumbing and Mechanical Systems.
- Certified Residential Designer/Draftsman.
- Operates Full-time Inspection Service that has performed quality inspections for thousands of satisfied clients.
ASHI
ASHI membership requirements are the most stringent among professional inspection organizations and require: Passing both the National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE) and the ASHI Standards and Ethics Examination. Performing a minimum of 250 fee-paid inspections in accordance with the ASHI Standards of Practice which must be approved by a ASHI verifier. 20 Hrs of Continuing Education each year.
